I'm not fully sure if anyone has really written about this yet, I looked a bit and didn't see anything immediately so I decided to do so. This is semi old news but I heard about it first today in a small blurb on CNN. A UFO was spotted over a Chinese Airport, and air traffic was actually stopped for a time as a result of its presence.
I felt a bit odd hearing that. A air traffic being stopped briefly due to UFO. Despite that CNN did not take it seriously and merely mentioned it as a side note joke.
Some pictures etc below the fold
This UFO disrupted air traffic, and was sighted by many people in the area. The Chinese Government is looking into this "visitation" (my own word). I think its probably something of human make, but the possibility of it being something else is definitely there. Actually I'll retract my previous statement but leave it there; I don't know what the hell it is.
Last week on 7th of July 2010, everyone was reporting about the UFO over China. The Aviation authorities also took it very seriously and responded immediately. Authorities blocked all flight operations in that territory
UFO over China came and went away and after an hour or so, the operations resumed. Media stopped reporting and authorities stopped investigating, even the Aviation authorities were criticized for stopping operations. Many thought it was a private plane or something like that. Even people from around the city reported the UFO but Chinese authorities never took it seriously.
Now, a video and more footage have been published about the UFO over china in 2010. These pictures and video (If real) revealed that it was a matter of seriousness because UFO never looked like a local plane. It was an altogether a unique flying object with huge amount of light behind it. It was just like a flying object burning in the air but actually it was a real mysterious object.
Another source on the UFO info
According to Chinese airport officials, the UFO was picked by their radar last week July 7, 2010 at about 9 p.m. in the evening. Since they couldn’t exactly identify what they had seen, they grounded flights in and out of the airport for about an hour causing passengers to be left stranded.
I couldn't find any hard news agencies covering the UFO reports over China. However the fact that flights were delayed an hour as a result of this thing is significant to me. I can't really write more at this time because I don't have anymore information.
Woot ... abc reported on it.
Edit: I have to agree with everyone who says it is more than likely a mundane explainable event. However, it is still worth mentioning that something seemingly unexplainable at least for a short while has occurred. Also, if China was very concerned, wouldn't it be in their best interest not to openly admit their concern if it were not their own, especially if they could not attribute blame? Also if it was Chinese military stuff or a missile test, why wouldn't they tell the air port so they could schedule flights around it? Just wondering?
I also was thinking the thing in the video looks distinctly different than the thing in the pic. Meh I can't figure it out maybe ya'll can.
Edit 2:
Thank you innereye for the link to Yahoo. Sorry innereye for giving credit to the wrong person at first fixed it as fast as I could.
On July 7, something unusual happened near the Xiaoshan Airport in Hangzhou, China. An oddly shaped bright light appeared, forcing the airport to close down and delay 18 flights. Things are now back to normal, but people are wondering, what was that "thing"?
An ABC News article on the mysterious sighting explains that some who witnessed the light are calling it a UFO. But, keep in mind, a UFO doesn't necessarily mean little, green men.
There is plenty of speculation on whether or not the object was some sort of military aircraft or missile. The ABC article explains that a day following the sighting, "an anonymous source told China Daily that authorities already discovered the identity of the UFO after an investigation but could not publically disclose the information because 'there was a military connection.'"
Authorities are continuing to look into the incident, but no public conclusions have yet been made. Despite, or perhaps because of the mystery, Web searches on "china ufo" quickly soared 576%. Related queries on "china ufo video 2010," "china ufo sightings," and "hangzou china ufo" also posted triple digit gains. Even now, a week after the sighting, online lookups remain high.
Truth be told, there's not much left to be said. Something weird happened. Nobody knows what it was. And if they do, they aren't saying. Check out the video below and judge for yourself.
Thanks again for the link, its probably one of the more helpful ones I've seen tonight and thanks for all the attention tonight guys its the most I've ever received.
